I consider gold, silver, bronze, pewter, gunmetal as metallic neutrals in my style wardrobe and do not limit these lovely shines to the night. I really believe that a little shimmery can really spice up an outfit; night and day.
A fool-proof plan to not get shimmer-overload while pairing metallics, is to pair the shiny apparel with black, navy, or white. I’d also recommend keeping accessories to a minimal or go completely without it to keep the focus on the metallic top, bottom, or dress.
So for the last bit of the cold weather (boohoo! I was just getting used to it!), I busted out a pair of suede knee boots and added some shine action to it.
